Doctor Talha Ahmed
Born and raised in the Chicago suburbs, Dr. Talha Ahmed ventured into hair restoration out of professional curiosity and a need for self-preservation. Witnessing hair loss in his own family-, from his father, and uncles to both grandfathers- compelled him to delve deep into investigating the field of hair restoration.
The more he learned, the more hopeful he became and the more he recognized Dr. Harris and RESTORE as unrivaled leaders in the hair restoration industry. When it comes to innovation, technology, artistry, and patient care, Dr. Harris set the mark high, his expertise is a beacon, and I couldn’t resist the chance to learn from the very best.
Dr. Talha Ahmed Bio
Born and raised in the suburbs of Chicago, Dr. Ahmed’s interest in hair restoration was driven by two factors: professional curiosity and a quest for self-preservation. “Growing up I saw the impact of hair loss in my family, with my father, uncles and both grandfathers, all experiencing varying degrees of baldness. My initial desire to learn everything I could about hair loss and hair restoration was, in hindsight, about addressing my own hair loss concerns. In that respect I can empathize with any person searching for hair loss solutions. The universal truth is - hair loss doesn’t get better on its own. Every day that you ignore it, you continue to lose hair. I made it my mission to study the science of hair growth and hair loss and try to master this field so I can help others with the same struggle”.
Dr Ahmed’s research led him to Dr James Harris, and he quickly learned that for the past 25 years, Dr Harris has been the driving force in advancing hair restoration innovations. From technology and artistry, to patient care, Dr Harris is world-renowned and unmatched in the field, “I realized working alongside Dr. Harris would be transformative and provide world-class training I couldn’t get anywhere else. If I want to be the best I have to learn from the best”. Dr Ahmed made it a point to seek an apprenticeship with Dr. Harris and soak up as much knowledge and procedural skill as possible directly from the Godfather of Hair.
After several years working in the Emergency Department at a Rush affiliate hospital and balancing his training in Hair Restoration– Dr. Ahmed now returns to Chicago as a member of the RESTORE team of elite hair surgeons. From his unique perspective, he understands the journey from both sides; he understands the concerns, the doubts and the self-esteem changes that balding, thinning or receding hair causes in a person. He also understands the importance of giving that hope and assurance back to his patients. “You deserve to be proud of and confident in the person you see when you look into the mirror everyday.
